Latin Music Ensemble Auditions
Texas State Latin Music Ensembles are open to any Texas State student by audition. Please follow the instructions below:
- Check the audition dates and times listed below.
- Make sure to sign up for an audition.
- Download all audition music.
- Be on time and prepared.
NOTE: To avoid last minute schedule changes/conflicts after results are posted, please make sure your schedule is open for both ensembles in each genre.

- Mariachi Lince de Oro: TR 3:30 - 4:50pm
- Salsa del Rio: MWF 2:00pm - 3:20pm
- Orquesta del Rio: TR 3:30pm - 4:50pm
- Conjunto: TR 6:30pm - 7:20pm

Vocalists: Prepare two song songs in contrasting styles to sing along with either a pista (track) or live accompaniment. Select from the following: Salsa, Cumbia, ChaChaCha, Merengue, Bachata
