Latin Music Ensemble Auditions
Texas State Latin Music Ensembles are open to any Texas State student by audition. Please follow the instructions below:
- Check the audition dates and times listed below.
- Make sure to sign up for an audition.
- Download all audition music.
- Be on time and prepared.
NOTE: To avoid last minute schedule changes/conflicts after results are posted, please make sure your schedule is open for both ensembles in each genre.
Fall 2026 Ensembles & Rehearsal Schedules
- TXST Mariachi Nueva Generación: MWF 11:00am - 12:20pm
- TXST Mariachi Lince de Oro: TR 3:30 - 4:50pm
- TXST Salsa del Rio: MWF 2:00pm - 3:20pm
- TXST Latin Ensemble MF 3:30pm-4:50pm
- TXST Beginning Conjunto TR 3:30pm-4:50pm
- TXST Advance Conjunto: TR 6:30pm - 7:20pm

Fall 2026 TXST Salsa del Rio and TXST Latin Ensemble Auditions
Auditions are open to all Texas State University students, regardless of major.
Students that are unable to audion on these dates are advised to contact Professor Rene Gonzalez (rg1142@txstate.edu) to set up an alternate time.
